Meet Curry Tales

The pandemic has given millions to try out new things, at home. Curry Tales (owned by Anusha Kaur Sohel), our new collaborator, has a great interest in trying out new foods at different cafes and restaurants. For her love of food, she even keeps a record of every new dish she has by taking pictures and editing. While editing one of them, during the pandemic, she was struck by the idea of starting her own foodblog (Instagram: currytales_2020)!

Being a graphic designer in Mumbai, India, Anusha is a bachelor. Although she is from Guwahati, Assam, Anusha has been living in Mumbai for around 2 years now. “I love travelling for food. I love Maharashtra.” Curry Tales tries to make different dishes using whatever she has in store in her kitchen and all of her new dishes turn out to be very successful. This reveals that she loves to cook! As a very interactive person, opening a blog page, is an opportunity to actually share her experiences of trying out new dishes outside (she will be shooting outside after the pandemic ends), creating recipes of her own (which is very innovative!), and showing her talent of cooking great dishes to her followers.

Just in a few weeks, Curry Tales has been able to attract more than a thousand followers in her Instagram account. She opened her blog page in the last week of May 2020. Go, subscribe to her Youtube channel too (link in her Instagram bio)!

According to her, “cooking is like a mind-therapy”. It helps her to feel alive and stress free. She believes that food is not only important for one’s physical health but it also plays pivotal role in one’s mental health as well.

“Just like eating oats bring change to your health and paratha brings you mental peace.”

Quarantine has made Anusha start running, in order to keep herself active. Her hobbies are sketching, painting, and “doodling her thoughts”. Along with cooking and some others she likes to sing and play games. Baking is something that Anusha likes to do as well. She likes every dish which is tasty. Youtube is used for many purposes in one’s life, but Anusha often likes to watch the videos of her favourite songs, however.

Anusha claims that she is not good at managing times and she shoots videos for her food blogs, and then edits them, when feels like doing so. When tired or stressed out, Anusha plays games to divert her mind, or sketch, or just talk to friends. When asked about books, she said that she used to read novels during her school life. Although she did not read much books then, she had read all of Chetan Bhagat’s books.

She has asked the readers to go subscribe to her Youtube channel (link in her Instagram bio) and follow her Instagram blogging account, in order to entertain her audience more.

“Just enjoy every second of your life, you don’t know what will happen next. Live and laugh.”
