With the pandemic going and knowing that we do not have a vaccine or a proper medicine to fight off the virus yet, we rely on our body’s immune system to fight with such infections, which is why we need a strong immune system. The immune system is the organs and processes of the body which fight off toxins and infections in the body. Organs like thymus, bone marrow and lymph nodes are included. Dark chocolate is a great immunity boosting food, the cacao found in dark chocolate helps strengthen our immune system. It contains theobromine and caffeine, though caffeine in lesser amounts. Consuming dark chocolate can also help in fighting common colds as it contains zinc. The less sweeter and more darker, the better it is.


Garlic and ginger both are great in fighting infections. Adding ginger and lemon to a warm cup of tea may help with a sore throat and provide you with relief.



Citrus Fruits are packed with Vitamin C. It is vital to consume a lot of vitamin C when we catch a cold, as they increase production of the white blood cells in our body which help in fighting infections. It is a great way to build the immune system too. Lemon, oranges, tangerines, clementine, pineapples are a great source of vitamin C.


Green tea is a great and soothing way of building the immune system. It is healthy and relieving. Green tea is packed with an antioxidant called flavonoid. Antioxidants are necessary for our body.


Watermelons are a delicious treat during the summer and it contains plenty of antioxidants, thus it is healthy and delicious.



Spinach contains Vitamin C and antioxidants, it is really great. Consume it by cooking to get the most benefits.


Sweet potatoes have beta carotene which turns into Vitamin A in your body and helps clean damaging radicals in your body and strengthen the immune system.
